We have all been affected by Breast Cancer.
Maybe you have had it. Maybe a family member or close friend was diagnosed. Maybe it was a co-worker or a neighbor that got the life changing call. Maybe you have had a scare, found a lump, had a questionable exam. Every person has been affected; one way or another.
Because this disease is linked to all of us and is close to all of our hearts, Becky Anderson, founder of For Every Home, created the Think Pink Foundation. The Think Pink Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and helping those with Breast Cancer.
For Every Home has a line of candles called, Hope For A Cure. These candles are a 6oz., pink, Plumeria scented tumbler. All of the profits from these candles are put into the Think Pink Foundation.
One way that the Foundation has helped raise awareness for this wide spread epidemic is in donating Hope For A Cure candles to local hospitals in the month of October. These hospitals then hand out the candles to every woman who comes in for a mammogram. These pink candles are to stand for a reminder to perform your monthly self exam and to go in yearly for a checkup with your physician.
The Think Pink Foundation has also donated $10,000 to two women to help cover the costs of their Breast Cancer treatment.
Think of all the ways Breast Cancer has affected you and think about all of the people who need help. With every Hope For A Cure candle that is sold, we are that much closer to helping someone in need. All it takes to make a difference in someone else’s life is to sell or buy a candle.
